The Benefits of Natural

Chances are, you have heard the name of all of the natural ingredients that go into making a bar of our soap. Some of the benefits of using these ingredients individually are probably familiar too. Here are some additional benefits that may not be familiar with so you can make an informed decision about how you choose to care for your skin.

Shea Butter:

Shea Butter is extracted from the nut of the African Shea tree. It has long been known as an excellent moisturizer and is used to treat stretch marks and other skin conditions. It reduces wrinkles and helps blemishes. Shea butter contains the vitamins A,E and F, all of which skin needs to retain elasticity as we age   . It is also a natural sunscreen AND has anti-inflammatory properties!

Cocoa Butter:

Cocoa Butter is derived from the Cocoa bean. The waxy butter makes a barrier for your skin to protect it from the elements. Cocoa Butter contains vitamins the skin requires to stay hydrated, soft and smooth. It is excellent for treating blemishes and scars. Naturally we chose to include Cocoa Butter in our quest to make the perfect bar of soap!

Mango Butter:

Mango Butter is extracted from just that! Mangos! Just like Shea Butter and Cocoa Butter it has amazing moisturizing qualities. It protects the skin, treats blemishes and wrinkles, as well as helping skin keep its elasticity. The waxy butter melts at body temperature to make a liquid lotion that is rubbed on the skin. It was a must when making the perfect bar of soap!

Hemp Seed Oils:

Hemp Seed oil is made by squeezing the seeds of the hemp plant. It is naturally high in fats that are beneficial to your skin. When applied topically, it helps strengthen the skin making it better able to resist infections. Those fats also make it an excellent choice for moisturizing your skin and in helping manage skin conditions such as:

  • Eczema
  • Dermatitis
  • Psoriasis
  • Varicose Eczema
  • Rosacea
  • Acne

Pine Tar:

Pine tar is exactly what it sounds like! The sticky sap from the pine tree is used to make a dark, sticky substance that has some pretty amazing benefits. It is often used in shampoos made for dandruff and psoriasis.
